Mindful Listening in the Middle Room
The Middle Room have been practicing some Mindfulness techniques. Mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment, something which is very important in all our busy lives.
We have enjoyed mindful listening and mindful walking. In mindful listening we heard many sounds e.g. the ticking of the clock, our own breathing, a passing car and rainfall. It was very interesting to hear the different sounds rainfall created, we heard it falling onto our roof and onto the leaves and gravel outside.
When we practice mindful walking we pretend that we are just learning to walk and we take each step very slowly, breaking it down into all its little components.
